Worship Yourself- Science of self sufficiency

This might sound too over the board- but there’s a deeper purpose and this might be a deliberate process of proclaiming control over one’s life by reinvigorating self-belief.

There are broadly two things that we can control-

  1. Our actions in the here and now. Inside to Outside dimension, or purely outward directed. [abbreviated as IO]
  2. How we perceive experiences, those that are governed by external factors. Outside to Inside (first inward directed), then there’s a reflection/outward reaction. [abbreviated as OIO]

Misses in the 1st and falling into experience traps from 2nd, often make our lives miserable- to the extent, that we eventually resort to praying in fullness. Prayers work, no matter the God- how? They work in alleviating few areas, but not all,

  1. As we start to pray, we try to empty our minds. This at times comes by naturally when we add a new environment, like visiting any place of worship
  2. The moment we know that we can expect some magic, by outsourcing expectations to God, there’s a sense of relief. This dilutes our constant thoughts and worries, at least for some time
  3. At times, we often pray to invoke shared responsibilities, where we know there’s a definite correlation between luck, hope and the right set of actions. This is mostly associated with IOs.
  4. At other times, from prayers arises inaction, from inaction arises lesser suffering, since we no longer seem to be interested with purposeful resisting of what happens to us- mostly associated with OIOs.
  5. At the end of cycle, once the purpose is fulfilled, unknowingly we share the credits with God. And in doing that, we know a superior power is there with us, that helps us take on hurdles in life, with even higher hopes.

Let’s dive into fundamentals, and just pick two parameters from above 1st through 5th pointers- HOPE and ACTION.

Hope is somewhat correlated to our perception of odds in favour, purely probabilistic. Every hope has some pull, as we cultivate more hope, we sow the seeds of motivation to act. Basically, there’s always this gap between hope and action, since there’s a sense of shared responsibility with some superior power.

As we grow up, harvest aspirations, desperations, and difficulties, we have seen inherently there’s always a growing distance between hope and action.

Why not reduce this gap as a practice, to the extent that hope is almost equivalent to pure play actions in the here and now. Why not worship yourself, and believe the greater power vests within, so the only possible path that remains is just, TO ACT IN THE HERE AND NOW!

A journey with lot of actions, and failures should be far more enjoyable than, a lot of hope, reduced activity with desperations.
